rotate swipe arrow keys pieces travel to their new group (300–420 ms, ease-out). a single piece stands still.
zoom in tap a piece, or spread two fingers apart ctrl + wheel scales from the tapped tile's position.
zoom out bring two fingers together (closing along the diagonal), back arrow ctrl + wheel, esc / backspace one step further out from where you are, even with nothing behind you. works on every screen inside another; the back arrow stays as the backup (principle 25).
back goes the way you came same the back label names the screen you came from.

OLAP equivalents: slice, dice, pivot, drill down, roll up. OLAP has no name for collect, notice or distinguish.

the words are zoom in and zoom out, never "pinch": everyone knows how to zoom on a phone, while "pinch out" and "pinch in" are heard the opposite way round.
